Jesus Helps Me By Callie Grant

"Jesus Helps Me" offers four levels of exploration: a quoted Bible passage (John 12:44-47), supporting captions that relate the passage to a child’s life, thinking questions to personalize the experience and colorful, full page photographs. Also included is a tip section for parents on how to use the book with a baby, toddler, and child. The book is a Learn book in the well-received Learn, Absorb & Praise™ Collection, which makes personal Bible studies accessible to young children. Alongside adults, the series helps kids build a foundation for faith and a lifelong friendship with Jesus. The release of "Jesus Helps Me" coincides with launch of the re-designed of the Knowing My God series, which now features an updated look and expanded content. More on this title is pasted below, and available at http://www.grahamblanchard.com/product/jesus-helps-me/

What a well presented book. The beautiful animal illustrations along with a caption about that particular animal and a scripture to back it up in Gods words. I really like this book although I do believe it's more geared toward toddlers. Not sure if it's because my 5 year old with Aspergers found it too immature or not. I think the way the book is laid out you can read just the scripture or just the captions to children with short attention spans. I think my son was expecting more of a story based book, hence the disappointment.  I think it is a wonderful combination of scripture and truth while studying the different creatures in our world. It's a nice sturdy board book with bright colors and actual photographs rather than drawn images.

Where She Belongs By Johnnie Alexander

Can love redeem a broken past?
Shelby Kincaid is ready to move forward after the death of her husband left her devastated. With high hopes for the future, she longs to purchase her family's homestead, Misty Willow, so she can raise her young daughters in the only place she ever truly belonged. She plans to transform the abandoned house into the perfect home of her memories. But she has her work cut out for her.
AJ Sullivan never wanted Shelby's family homestead in the first place. His grandfather left it to him as punishment for not following his wishes, and he's let it fall into ruin. AJ's more than happy to unload it to this spitfire of a woman. But even after angry exchanges over the state of the house, he can't get her off his mind.
With writing that evokes a strong sense of place and family history, Johnnie Alexander deftly explores the ties that bind us to home--and the irresistible forces that draw us to each other.
This is the first time I can recall reading any of this authors works. It's a story that shows that no one is perfect but no one is ever too far gone from saving. The story is well developed without being too drawn out and boring. It keeps you interested until the end and it's one of those not-what-I-expected outcomes. Well rounded character development and I can see myself looking for more of this authors works in the future. I eagerly away the next novel in the series. I think the author accomplished what he set out to do, providing readers with a bit of romance, a bit of humor and always a little mystery.

Beautiful inspirational scripture on the right page and a journaling space on the left. Great addition to the current adult coloring craze market. I think there should have been more images to color, coloring the words tens to be a little dull over time. All in all it is a great way to connect with God while destressing and relaxing.
